Workplace Automation
As artificial intelligence and automation continue to
advance, employment is undergoing massive changes, particularly impacting
entry-level skill jobs. Tasks that once required human intervention are now
being efficiently handled by machines, leading to a displacement of these
roles. While this technological revolution promises increased efficiency and
productivity, it also raises concerns about the livelihoods of those in
entry-level positions. As AI algorithms become more skilled at performing
routine tasks, many entry-level jobs are at risk of being automated, leaving a
segment of the workforce facing unemployment or the need to grow their skills
to match the demands of a changing job market. As society deals with the
implications of this shift, proactive measures such as training initiatives and
policies supporting job transitions are essential to ensure that individuals
are equipped to thrive as technology is here to stay (Hilliard , 2023).
